La Verrière gourmet restaurant in Olmeto creates Mediterranean cooking in a real tribute to the Corsican land. In early 2024, our gourmet restaurant by the sea received the honour of being awarded a Michelin star. This prestigious distinction celebrates our incessant quest for culinary excellence and pays tribute to the talent and dedication of our entire team. This is the starting point for an exhilarating culinary adventure, marked by a promising collaboration with chef Romain Masset, whose creativity and expertise paves the way to new gourmet experiences.
A Michelin-star chef at the head of our gourmet restaurant
Chef Romain Masset draws his passion for cooking from memories of family meals prepared by his grandparents. He refined his talent alongside such great names in cuisine as Louis Grondard at Drouant, Yannick Franques at the Château Saint Martin, and the Régis et Jacques Marcon restaurant. Driven by a desire to exceed himself, he reached the finale of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France competition in 2018 and ranked third at the Bocuse d'Or France in 2019. Having arrived in Corsica two years ago, he was enchanted by the desire to enhance this island terroir and landed his first Michelin star in 2022. In 2023, he joined the Marinca to elevate its gourmet restaurant and obtained a new Michelin star the following year, confirming his commitment to pushing the limits of cuisine.
